Not their best work by far. Wretched and Devine blows this album out of the water. Sometimes change isn’t good.

I’ve been a fan of BVB for a long time, and I’ve been really looking forward to this album. Glad to say it did not disappoint! I can’t stop listening to “Wake Up”. This album is definitely one I recommend.
  • A little too much Andy Black.

This album seems like a direct sequel to Wretched and Divine. Except, in my opinion, the album has a rise in excitement at The Outsider, but then immediately drops back down to more of a calmer, pop-rock sort of feel, as it had in the former tracks as well. Sounds very much like what BVB was the last 3 years — a side project to Andy Black. Now don’t get me wrong, I like the album and will for sure listen to it more, it just pales in comparison to the older albums, namely BVB IV and Wretched and Divine. Now, including and after My Vow, the album sounds much more like the BVB I enjoy. Bands evolve and I’m glad they’re happy with what they released, that’s what matters, but I’m just not near as into it as previous releases.
