Where is this album or songs?
Star Wars: The Last Jedi Trailer Collections by The Cantina Sounds are the ones who play the trailer music that everybody is asking about. Being it wasn’t added to this soundtrack and is being sold separately on Amazon why isn’t it being sold on iTunes?
I ended up buying the digital mp3 download off of Amazon which I then added to my iTunes collection. Sad I couldn’t find nor buy this on iTunes but in the end I got what I wanted plus still weird that those songs wasn’t added to this soundtrack.

Basically a Star Wars Medley
I've already had my head chewed off for suggesting this on Twitter, so I either feel strongly about this or I'm a masachistic. 1st, I think John Williams is up there with Beethoven and Mozart in a contemporary sense. 2nd, I REALLY wanted to love this score, and had to listen to it many times to realize I don't. It's basically a medley of the original trilogies through Force Awakens (which I loved, especially Rey's theme). It's great music, but it should be called the Star Wars Variations (my apologies to Bach and Goldberg). While there's nothing wrong to reusing music you composed from the past, (I know you hear me Han's Zimmer) it's a waste of a genius's time to do so. As to the 'but it fits the movie so well' argument; great, watch the movie and skip the score. Where is even one brilliant piece like, Duel of the Fates, Across the Stars, Battle of the Heroes, Binary Sunset, Imperial March, Emperor Arrives, and Rey's Theme. John Williams is 85 years old, and is probably only going to do one more Star Wars score. Please, please, please, Mr. Williams, return to form for Star Wars 9, and give us at least one last great Star Wars track!
Best score since "Prisoner of Azkaban"
This is JW's best score since he composed "Prisoner of Azkaban." "The Force Awakens" was good...but this is truly spectacular. The difference is notable in his conducting the score rather than other conductors cobbled together for his previous "Star Wars" composition.
By BIG franky
the soundtrack is exceptional, as is typically the case with John Williams brilliance within this universe...HOWEVER...a glaring omission from the soundtrack is the music that was featured in the trailer and ad campaign for the movie...there are hints of the music within the Spark track, but it is completely different. according to YouTube, the trailer for The Last Jedi was viewed well over a hundred million times...the music featured is haunting and exceptional. it should most definitely be included in this soundtrack...without it, the album sadly feels somewhat incomplete.
Don't understand the negative reviews...
By Strange and amazing
I'm a long time musician, band director, audiophile, and theory/composition geek. I'm just downloading, but (as always) I paid very close attention to the soundtrack when I watched teh movie last week. Yes-It's trued that there aren't the big, iconic themes of previous films (Leia's, Imperial March, etc), but I think JW has done a masterful job of incorporating the old into the new, and very appropriately as it relates to the action. I walked out of the theater thinking "Wow...I can really hear the growth in JW's writing over the course of these nine movies."
The reason there are not new, epic themes is simple. There are not new, epic characters. We got themes for Rey, Finn, and Kylo, correct? Which character in TLJ warranted a full theme? Looking forward to hearing the full soundtrack apart from the screenplay, but lets keep it in perspective, people. The music was composed as a complement to the film, not as a standalone work. I think Williams nailed it. Thanks for reading
John Williams wrote another truly phenomenal masterpiece!!!!
