...let's go back to yesterday
If this is what Erasure sounds like in Tomorrow's World, then I'd prefer we go back to yesterday. This ranks as my least favorite Erasure release, up to the time of its release (World Be Gone was a disappointment as well). The lead single, When I Start to Break It All Down (especially it's remix), and Fill Us With Fire, were both good songs, but the rest of the album soungs like every other club mix - and barely like Erasure. I understand them wanting to update their sound, by bringing in Frankmusik, but this strayed so far from what Erasure is, that I just don't think it worked. If they were looking for typical, uninspired "thumpa-thumpa" club music, they succeeded - but I think the experiment failed here. I'm sorry Vince & Andy - I still love you, but this just didn't work for me.
